I am Joseph West, founder of Orange Swish. This name represents more than a company; it embodies a brand dedicated to excellence, which I hope earns your trust and loyalty.
I founded Orange Swish in February 2025 in Greenville, Alabama. My passion for the game began in childhood, playing with two clothes hangers twisted into a makeshift rim nailed to our family barn, using a softball-sized rubber ball. As a teenager, I saved enough money to purchase a standard rim and basketball, upgrading that original setup on the barn.
The name Orange Swish captures the essence of the sport. “Orange” represents the iconic color and shape of the basketball. “Swish” honors the clean sound of a ball hitting nothing but the net. This inspiration formed our company slogan: “The softest and smoothest sound in sports.”

Our Inspiration
The heartbeat of Orange Swish is inspired by our Founder’s 14-year-old grandson. As a young athlete on the autism spectrum, he finds immense joy and purpose in basketball. When he set a personal goal to elevate his skills and try out for his school team, we sought a way to help him simplify the nuances of the game.
This journey led to the creation of Orange Swish. What began as a personal mission to support a dedicated young man has evolved into a global vision to make basketball more accessible, engaging, and intuitive for everyone.

As Founder and CEO, Joseph West is proud to lead this company alongside his daughter, Ashley West, who serves as President. Together, as a family-owned business, we combine our love for the sport with forward-thinking concepts to transform the way basketball is played, watched, and analyzed.

Hello Basketball Fans.I am Joseph West, The founder of Orange Swish. Orange Swish is more than two words. Orange Swish is a brand.
A brand I hope you will come to love and buy. I created Orange Swish in February 2025, in Greenville, Alabama. My early days of playing basketball started with two clothes hangers twisted together to make a rim. The rim was nailed to the side of our family barn.
The ball was a small rubber ball about the size of a softball. As a teenager I was able to save enough money to buy a rim
and regular basketball. The rim replaced the twisted clothes hanger on the family barn.
The name Orange is because a basketball is round just like an orange, and also the color is orange. Swish comes from the sound made when a basketball hits nothing but the net. This gave me the slogan for my business. “The softest and smoothest sound in sports”.
